Train Energy

Services Involved

Up skilling of Irish Trades persons for retrofitting and building of low energy buildings is one of our key goals. In conjunction with Cork Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Blanchardstown we developed an up-skilling course, supported by the Intelligent Energy Europe program.

This 9 day course was run in March and April 2011 and included 2 days on site in Tipperary – 1 day in Cloughjordan Eco-Village and 1 day visiting existing retrofitted houses from the SERVE project.

As part of this project 50 Irish tradespeople were trained with the Pilot Training materials. These materials are all available free to download and are in-depth and relevant to the tradesperson as part of their upskilling.
