CleandriveThe main aim of Cleandrive was to reduce the emissions of transport in Ireland by increasing the sale of cleaner cars (A rated, <120gCO2/km). We had a number of actions which include hosting an Eco Car and Home Show, developing a Clean Drive club, training and certifying local car dealers, facilitating low carbon transport workshops for the public throughout Tipperary.

Clean Drive Club

In Tipperary, we launched a “Clean Drive Club”.

This club consisted of local car dealers, local businesses and local people.
Everyone in this club believes in a greener future for private car transport in Ireland

On Tuesday 19th of June 2012, the CleanDrive project had its first international webinar where all of the different participants came together for information sharing between the different participating countries.

CleanDrive Common Campaign 2012
The culmination of the Common Campaign, was the Tipperary Eco Motor & Home Show.
This was at the Thurles Greyhound Stadium on November 10th 2012.
Our trained CleanDrive car dealers were presented with their training certificates by the Mayor of Thurles. We were delighted that our participating car dealers made such an effort many showcasing their best and most fuel efficient vehicles. These cars put money back in your pocket!  Tipp FM broadcast the event live.

The final Cleandrive marketing event was series of Saint Patricks Day Parades in Tipperary where the public were introduced to the car dealers and their low emissions cars. These events were part of the Gathering Events and are summarised here. The week before the Parades our European Cleandrive partners converged on the Abbeycourt Hotel in Nenagh for a meeting.
