Tipperary Energy Agency along with Donegal County Council and Mayo County Council are attending the EU LIFE funded project OwnYourSECAP final project meeting and a peer-to-peer event in Bratislava, Slovakia from 8 – 9 April, 2025. 52 participants have registered for the event from across 11 EU countries, which are Ireland, Spain, Latvia, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, France, Poland and Portugal.

The event will showcase the lessons learned during the 3 years of the project which emphasized on-ground implementation of climate actions from the Local Authority Climate Action Plans across Europe. The municipalities will also have an opportunity to share their experiences, the challenges and solutions in implementing some of the actions, the networking and collaborative space that OwnYourSECAP offered. Workshop sessions on 4 different themes – motivating and communicating, energy management, institutionalizing climate adaptation and implementation of climate actions will be conducted. These four themes reflect the four pillars of the OwnYourSECAP Project.

The event is organised by Tipperary Energy Agency in collaboration with our Slovakian Partner, Energy Centre Bratislava.
